Well,
this week I found out I got my Visa and will be leaving to Argentina
on March 10th! I'm so sad to be leaving, but I know that
Argentina is where the Lord needs me to be.

In
the mission field, we do something called OYM-ing all the time. OYM
means to 'Open Your Mouth'. Basically just talking to people about
the Church. An apostle once promised this mission that if each
companionship would OYM 20 people a day, their baptism rate would
triple. Last Wednesday Hermana Smith and I decided that we were going
to DO it! And we met our goal! Jumping out of cars at stop lights,
pulling over and talking to people on the sidewalk, all that good
stuff.
I
felt like a REAL missionary this week! There was a guy driving a golf
cart down the street, and I was like "HEY let's go talk to
him!" so we chased him down the street until he stopped. His
name is 'Big Bad Bill' and he's a 'Nam vet and is pretty awesome. He
said he didn't have time to meet with missionaries but we gave him a
Book of Mormon.
Also,
we actually knocked on some doors this week! We never have time to do
that. Tracting (knocking on doors) is fun. It's like
trick-or-treating except we're not wearing costumes and people just
slam the door instead of giving us candy. Sad, they don't know what
they're missing! But right before we were about to leave this guy
pulled up in a truck across the street and I was like, "Let's go
talk to him!" His name is Jeb and he seems pretty interested. We
gave him a Book of Mormon and are seeing him again Wednesday.
We
also met a man named Mack with a bunch of really old cars. He called
himself a “functional illiterate”, meaning that if something's
boring he won't read it. I asked him if he would read a non-boring
story in the Book of Mormon about a guy that cut off a bunch of arms.
He then proceeded to tell us about a friend of his that actually cut
off someone's arm.....#awkward. Good times. :)

We
visited Lani and Sergio this week. Lani just had TWINS! We'd already
taught them Lesson 1, and even though they have TWO BRAND NEW BABIES,
they said we can come visit them Thursday! What an excite.
Obedience
is the key to everything. When we're obedient, God has promised us
that we'll be blessed. When we're not obedient we don't have that
promise, and we can't receive those blessings. Do hard things!!! God
will always pull us up in the end when we put our trust in Him. :)
