Blessings of Walking Through the Wilderness - Blog Post #12

Life is great in Argentina.
Well this week we saw some pretty amazing blessings. When I got to Villa Adelina we had 0 people we were teaching, so we were trying to find people like crazy......we worked super hard and it seemed like we were getting nowhere and no one was progressing. But we just kept working hard. And now that we've started this second transfer, we've started to see a lot of blessings come from our labors.

We've been teaching this lady Alejandra and her brother Miguel. They're both in their 50s or so. Anyways, Alejandra said she prayed about the Book of Mormon like we asked her to, and that she felt peace....and that when we teach her she feels different than anything else. We explained that's the Holy Ghost. And then her brother Miguel is a fisherman and he was reading the scriptures while he was out fishing. Everyone was making fun of him like, "Ohh he's a Mormon!" and he was like "No I'm visiting with the missionaries, and it's called the Book of Mormon because a prophet that wrote part of it was named Mormon. And I'm gonna keep listening to the missionaries" or something like that, so that was cool. We put them on date for baptism, and they both want to be baptized. We just have to help them with the Word of Wisdom because they both smoke and maybe drink, I dunno. But I have faith in them.

Well anyways Hermana Salinas and I are just still working hard, finding and teaching. We contacted (talked about the Church) 105 people this week so I'm buying us ice cream today!!! Our goal as a zone was 80 people, so we're pretty happy. :)

Our ward making criossants. Yummy!!!
Take care and have a great week! Remember that Moses and the children of Israel were in the wilderness for 40 years, and Nephi and his family were in the wilderness for 8 before any of them could enter the promised land. God always has to bring us through the wilderness before we can enter the promised land.

Ciao,
